Following our 10/21/24 blog post, “Avoid Disruption in Billing – CMS Mandatory Off-Cycle SNF Provider Revalidation,” CMS has released additional guidelines impacting Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) providers. We’ve added these updates to our blog and will continue to share more details as they become available.
Key Details:
- Your MAC will send revalidation notices in a yellow envelope to the addresses listed on your Medicare enrollment, in the following order:
- First correspondence and special pay-to addresses
- Second correspondence address and practice location
- Note: Only one notice will be sent if all three addresses are the same
- CMS has extended the revalidation deadline for all SNFs nationwide to May 1, 2025, replacing the original 90-day deadline
