NASL has again provided specific talking points and a prepared link to facilitate our unified voices in support of legislation that would delay the currently scheduled January 1, 2022, 15% therapy assistant reimbursement reduction. Legislation introduced:

  • Stabilizing Medicare Access to Rehabilitation and Therapy (SMART) Act of 2021 (H.R.5536)

Now is the time to address our U.S. House Members urging them to support and add this SMART bipartisan legislation to any legislative action moving forward prior to the end of 2021. Please utilize and share the below link to send your message today to help ensure equity in access to care.

TAKE ACTION

Let’s Get to the Point:

Without action, Part B SNF treatments provided by or in part by a PTA or COTA will be reimbursed at a 15% reduced rate. We cannot afford another negative influencer on the provision of staff in our post-acute settings-especially as we are fighting so hard to address the needs of our frail population during and post COVID-19. United, we can impact change!

Please let us know of any questions surrounding this legislation.
